Planning a Safe Holiday Season

2020 has been a unique year and that means our holiday celebrations will look a little different this year. When you are planning for holiday get togethers remember to think safety first. Your number one priority should be to think about the health and safety of yourself and others. This means you may need to get a bit more creative with holiday plans.

Tips to Planning a Safe Holiday Season

Keep it Small

If possible do your best to only celebrate with those who live in the same household.

Time Limit

If you do need to get together with others outside of your immediate household, keep it brief. Gatherings that last longer pose more risk than shorter gatherings.

Take it Outdoors

Planning an outdoor event in Minnesota during the winter can be tough, but it’s doable! Get creative and take your holiday event to the outdoor ice skating rink instead.

Avoid Traveling

The holidays normally mean our friends and family travel from afar to gather together, however, this year staying at home is encouraged to limit the spread of disease.

Mask Up

Make masks mandatory at your holiday party with the exception of when actively eating and drinking.

6 Feet Apart

Plan to maintain your distance – stay at least 6 feet apart from one another.

Wash Your Hands

Wash your hands regularly and wash them properly. When clean running water and soap are not available use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Stay Home

If you are experiencing any symptoms or have had known contact with someone positive for COVID-19 stay home.

Watch State Guidelines

COVID-19 guidelines regularly change. It is important to remember that state guidelines may differ from federal.
